Weave World

Weave World

A journey into a world built from repetition, symmetry and recursion — where every thread seems to contain another pattern waiting beneath it.

Created during a MandelBrowser exploration, Weave World began as a study in warm golds, oranges and deep shadow, but quickly started to suggest something less decorative and more mysterious: a structure that feels woven rather than drawn, almost as though an entire hidden world is being held together by its own geometry.

The deeper you look, the less certain the scale becomes. Spirals become chambers, threads become pathways, and tiny details open into structures of their own.

There is beauty here, but also a slight sense that the pattern may be protecting something — or perhaps protecting us from whatever lies beyond it.

We thought the weave concealed it.
We thought the weave was bars.
We thought that we were looking in
from somewhere safe and ours.

But what if all the threads were drawn
to keep two worlds apart?
What if every perfect knot
was mercy dressed as art?

PULSE Demo — Weave World

A visual demo created with PULSE, exploring its real-time scene generation, layered finishes, motion, symmetry, colour and audio-reactive visual effects.

The video uses Weave World as the soundtrack while PULSE provides the evolving visual environment — combining fractal imagery, rhythmic movement and dynamic scene processing into a continuous sound-and-light piece.

This is primarily a showcase of PULSE in creative use rather than a conventional music video — letting the software shape and transform the imagery as the track unfolds.

Weave World
[Verse 1]
Before there was a world
there was a thread,
drawn through the darkness
where nothing had been said.
Gold upon the silence,
silver through the night,
someone made a pattern
and taught it how to hide.

Every turn returning,
every line entwined,
little worlds within the worlds
we thought we’d left behind.
And somewhere in the weaving,
beneath the coloured skin,
something heard us listening
and slowly listened in.

[Pre-Chorus]
Don’t pull the silver thread.
Don’t follow where it’s led.
Some doors were never locked —
they were woven shut instead.

[Chorus]
Weave World, hold your shape,
keep the darkness in its place.
Thread by thread and skin by skin,
never let the outside in.

Weave World, hold me tight,
hide me underneath the light.
Every knot and every seam
keeps a secret from the dream.

[Verse 2]
We came with empty fingers,
we came with hungry eyes,
calling every mystery
a truth in some disguise.
We measured every spiral,
we numbered every star,
then found another universe
inside the things we are.

One thread became a question.
One question became need.
One hand disturbed the pattern.
One thought became a deed.

And somewhere in the symmetry
a single line went wrong.
The left hand stopped reflecting
what the right had done so long.

[Pre-Chorus]
Don’t pull the silver thread.
There are footsteps overhead.
Some things were never sleeping —
they were waiting there instead.

[Chorus]
Weave World, hold your shape,
keep the darkness in its place.
Thread by thread and skin by skin,
never let the outside in.

Weave World, hold me tight,
hide me underneath the light.
Every knot and every seam
keeps a secret from the dream.

[Instrumental / Descent]
Whispered fragments, increasingly layered:

Who made the pattern?
Who tied the first knot?
Who taught the thread to remember?

Who is dreaming?
Who is hidden?
Which side of the weave are we on?

[Verse 3]
Then the colours opened
where the broken fibres fell,
but there were no flames beneath us,
no mouth of waiting hell.

There was light.

Endless light.

A thousand woven skies,
cities folded into flowers,
oceans inside eyes.
Every shape repeating,
but never quite the same,
every world containing
another without name.

And something moved among them
too slowly to be seen.
Not behind the pattern —
but everywhere between.

[Bridge]
We thought the weave concealed it.
We thought the weave was bars.
We thought that we were looking in
from somewhere safe and ours.

But what if all the threads were drawn
to keep two worlds apart?
What if every perfect knot
was mercy dressed as art?

What if we were not the ones
the weaving kept away?

What if all this golden light
was holding us at bay?

[Breakdown]
Don’t pull the thread.

Don’t pull the thread.

Don’t…

[Final Chorus]
Weave World, lose your shape,
nothing stays within its place.
Thread by thread and skin by skin,
now we know what lies within.

Weave World, open wide,
there is nowhere left to hide.
Every knot and every seam
was a boundary in the dream.

Weave World, pull me through,
I no longer know what’s true.
I touched the thread, I crossed the seam…

and woke the thing
that dreamed me.

[Outro]
Before there was a world
there was a thread.

Before there was a thread…

there was something
waiting.
